Features include support for duplicated\nindividuals, complex mating structures, integration with\nsimulated pedigrees, and layout customization. Due to the\nimpending deprecation of kinship2, version 1.0 incorporates the\nlayout helper functions from kinship2. The pedigree alignment\nalgorithms are adapted from 'kinship2' [Sinnwell et al.
